HTML5
is a brilliant emerging technology, which supports the development of web pages and web apps. HTML5 is the replacement to HTML4, and includes many new elements - especially ones which support the presentation of multimedia content such as video, audio and 2D graphics. HTML5's new Canvas element supports the drawing of 2D graphics and bitmap based pixel manipulation using Javascript code. As such, HTML5 is hotly anticipated to replace other graphics tools, such as Flash, for building animations, games and image composition apps.
Stencil Graffiti Creator has been especially built to explore the power of the Canvas element, and uses very clever image processing algorithms to render photorealistic virtual stencil graffiti. As of August 2011 further experiments and developments are underway to add new functionality to the site, including the roll out of mobile and multi-platform web apps. The app can currently be found on Facebook, and the Google Chrome Web Store for free. And, are hoping to have an iPhone and iPad version out soon.
